Naturopathic Medicine

Naturopathic Medicine is an individual approach to helping the body heal itself through the use of natural therapies. It can be used to treat, as well as, prevent disease.

Many different types of therapies can be utilized including:

  1. Clinical Nutrition
Nutrition is a vital component of good health as it provides us with the building blocks for our bodies. Many nutrients are needed to make sure our biochemical pathways function properly. Conventional medicine use drugs to affect our body’s natural processes. Nutrition can be used therapeutically to strengthen and support these same functions.

  2. Acupuncture and Asian Medicine
Acupuncture uses very fine needles to stimulate the energy channels of the body. Asian herbs are also used to affect these channels and help balance and heal the body.

  3. Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine uses specific parts of certain plants to strengthen, support, and nourish the body. Herbs can be used alone or in combination with other therapies to promote the same pathways that conventional drugs do and therefore may be used to treat as well as prevent disease.

  4. Homeopathic Medicine
This type of medicine uses small amount of plant, mineral or animal substances to improve health and prevent disease.

  5. Lifestyle Modification
Many diseases have been linked to poor exercise habits, stress, and in general our fast paced way of living. By gradually improving our daily habits, we can increase our overall good health and prevent disease from occurring.

  6. Hypnosis
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation and mental concentration that has been endorsed by the American Medical Association since 1958. This holistic approach changes your thinking which, in turn, allows you to make positive changes to your body and well being in a natural and drug free way.
